Wednesday, January 8, 2025 A travel vaccination clinic has received recognition for making significant enhancements following feedback that improvements were necessary. In March 2023, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspected the clinic and identified three regulatory breaches, giving it an overall rating of “requires improvement.” Both the “safe” and “well-led” categories were also rated as needing improvement at that time.
However, after a follow-up evaluation on November 27, 2024, the CQC has upgraded the clinic’s overall rating to “good.” The review covered eight quality statements under the “safe” category and seven under the “well-led” category, highlighting progress and enhancements in all areas. The CQC observed that the provider had strengthened its governance systems, with leaders consistently reviewing these measures to maintain the delivery of safe care.
These enhancements included updated procedures to ensure the safe provision of care and treatment for service users. In particular, care records were documented and managed in a manner that prioritized service user safety, accurately reflecting the details of each consultation. Additionally, the CQC acknowledged that the service was now appropriately displaying its latest performance assessment, in compliance with requirements.
The survey findings and general feedback revealed that patients had a largely positive experience with the service. For instance, every survey participant expres.
