Jazz — who rose to fame on the I Am Jazz series, which documented her journey as a transgender individual — wrote in the caption, 'Two years later and almost 100 pounds lighter!' 'I'm so proud of my progress and want to thank my family, friends and all who supported me in getting there! Good health is not a certificate you display, it is a constant effort!' One part, titled 'Me 2 years ago', showed her struggling to run and resting against a wall. The clip then transitioned to Jazz working out now, looking slimmed down and running with ease.

'I'm proud of my progress towards better health, but I'm still running towards more goals,' she wrote on the video. Jazz's fans were impressed with the transformation, with one writing, 'So proud of you! You’re looking amazing!! Keep up the good work!' 'You look amazing and healthy that’s the most important part, you’re a true inspiration,' another added. 'Jazz you look amazing either way girl!' someone else chimed in.

In January, the reality TV star announced she had lost 70 pounds writing, 'Feeling happier and healthier than I’ve been in years. 'I still have a ways to go, but I’m so proud to finally be taking the necessary steps toward bettering my mind, body, and spirit.' Jazz started hitting the gym in 2021, with her journey documented on the TLC show.

The transgender advocate revealed that her weight gain was due to a binge eating disorder. 'I can't do this,' she says.

'But I can, and I'll try...

but I can't.' Jazz complains through a workout, though she is determined to do her best. 'This is embarrassing because when I was younger, I used to be so dominant,' she says, as video of her playing soccer as a young teen plays on the screen.

'When I played soccer, I was the best. When I ran the 40-yard dash, I ran the fastest. And now, it's like, "We're humbling you,"' she says.

Jazz shared at the time that her friends were a source of support for her. 'They've known me for so long, they've seen me fluctuate, go through every shape and size. But they've never seen me let myself go to this point, where I weigh what I weigh now.

' 'They assure me that I'm beautiful no matter what size I am, but most of all, they assure me that if my ambition is to lose weight and be healthier, that they'll be by my side and help me with that,' she says. She also said that she was losing weight for her health, not her looks — and that she feels beautiful no matter her size. 'I honestly feel beautiful at every shape and size.

Like I love my body the way it is,' she said. 'But I will say, I am trying to lose weight for health reasons. I have to feel good too, and I don't feel good with some of the foods that I have been eating.

So I have been working on this eight loss so I could be healthier and just more me.' In June, she showed off her slimmed down figure in a black swimsuit Jazz lost 30 lbs. ahead of her gender confirmation surgery in 2019 (right), however over the past two years she has struggled with her weight, gaining 100 lbs.

My binging, along with an increased appetite I experience from some of the meds I’m on, has caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a little less than 2 years,' she said She also said she feels happy about her body since getting gender surgery three-and-a-half years prior. 'I finally have the body that I always wanted, and I have the mind-body alignment that wasn't there before.

I feel like I'm complete,' she said. In another scene, Jazz's siblings sat her down for an intervention-style meeting about her weight. Her brothers, Sander and Griffen, and her sister, Ari, confronted her with with a 'vision square' for how they will help her with her nutrition, fitness, and routine to get her health back on track.

Jazz, a Harvard University student, also took time off from college to deal with her eating disorder. In an early clip from the season, Jazz's whole family weighed in on her eating habits, quizzing her over how much butter she put on her pasta at dinner. 'I do experience fat-shaming from my family.

It makes me feel really humiliated,' Jazz — who came out as transgender at the age of five — said in the clip. Elsewhere Jazz said: 'Two years ago, I was on my way to one of the greatest institutions in the world, but I was actually struggling severely with mental health issues. 'I started binge-eating and I gained weight and more weight and more weight.

And now, almost 100 lbs. heavier, here I am today.' Clips showed Jazz stepping onto a bathroom scale, which clocked her weight at 234 lbs.

Jazz has spoken about her struggles with disordered eating in the past, going back to a 2018 YouTube video in which she discussed binge-eating. Jazz started hormone therapy at 12 years old and underwent gender confirmation surgery at 17. Her reality TV series, I Am Jazz, documented her transition.

It premiered in 2015 and is still ongoing; seen with her parents Jeanette and Greg Jennings She did manage to shed weight, dropping 30 lbs. ahead of her gender confirmation surgery. 'I really had to just retrain my mind,' she told People at the time.

'I had to look at food as something different than what I was looking at it as. 'Because I used food as a comfort for my emotional struggles. I was a binge-eater.

It was really bad. I would go to McDonald’s, get 20 chicken nuggets, three chocolate chip cookies and a large fries. 'I really had to stop doing that and realize that was so unhealthy and I need to take care of myself.
