Tram services across the Bee Network have been disrupted after bus and tram collided in Manchester city centre. The head-on collision has happened on Mosley Street outside Betfred and Primark in Piccadilly Gardens and bus and tram services are disrupted. Trams are currently unable to serve Piccadilly Gardens, Market Street and Shudehill tram stops.

Traffic service Inrix said: “Mosley Street both ways closed due to accident, a bus and a tram involved between A34 Princess Street and New York Street. “Social media shows an air ambulance on the scene, and emergency services are on scene.” Air ambulance on the scene (Image: NQ) The following service change is in place across the tram network: • Ashton-Under-Lyne - Piccadilly • Eccles - Crumpsall • Bury - Altrincham (via Exchange Square) • Manchester Airport - Victoria (via Exchange Square) • Altrincham - Cornbrook (Piccadilly services) The following services are unaffected: • East Didsbury - Rochdale • Trafford Centre - Deansgate-Castlefield The following bus services are also affected: • Free Bus 1 & 2 - Suspended until further notice.



• 33 - Will depart from Shudehill Interchange. • 15, 42, 42A, 42B, 42C, 43, 85, 85A, 86, 87, 111, 142, 143, 250, 253 and 263 - Will operate from Oxford Street from the bus stop outside the Refuge Hotel. • 35, 36, 37, 38, X39, X41 and X43 - Will operate from the St James Square bus stop (Stop CP) on John Dalton Street.

• 255 and X50 - Will operate from the Oxford Road S.
