Prayagraj: Two unidentified miscreants shot at a 40-year-old trader near Tilhapur turn in Kaushambi on Monday night, police said. The trader Deshraj Sahu was admitted to a hospital in Prayagraj where his condition was said to be stable. SP (Kaushambi) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said the incident took place when the victim, after having dinner, went out for a walk.

Two police teams have been formed to work out the case, he said adding that an FIR under appropriate sections has been registered with Saray Akil police station. The SP also said that there was no incident of loot with the trader and police have been probing the case to find out the exact reason behind the incident. His family said Sahu had no enmity with anyone.
