The fourth annual Turton Young Farmers Charity Tractor Run is set to return this December and will now include a visit to Harwood. The popular ride out features a convoy of around one hundred festively decorated tractors, which travel on a 20-mile-loop starting from Brocklehead Farm to Darwen , Egerton , Bradshaw Brow , Harwood , Bromley Cross, Edgworth and Belthorn before finishing at Hoddlesden Village. (Image: Natalie Wood) This year the run will be supporting Lancashire Mind, an independent mental-health charity based in Chorley.

The charity was chosen randomly from three golden envelopes by the winner of last year’s best decorated tractor award. Event organiser, Natalie Wood said: “Young Farmers is a charitable youth organisation for those aged 10 - 28 years. We’re excited to host the fourth tractor run, which has proved popular with visitors.



(Image: Natalie Wood) “Last year, we saw over 100 tractors and 40 local businesses support us and we’re hoping to get even more people and local businesses involved for the run this December. “We’ve added Harwood to the list of places for the convoy to visit now due to high demand, we welcome the people of Harwood to come out and support us for the spectacle. “If anyone’s got a tractor and wants to get involved, feel free to get in contact with the organisation.
