Monday, January 27, 2025 The Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS) is set to return to Seville from October 22 to 24, 2025, under the theme “Innovation in Motion, Tourism Reimagined.” This sixth edition aims to explore the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and sustainable practices in the tourism sector. Silvia Avilés, Director of TIS, emphasized the summit’s focus on adapting to rapid technological advancements and evolving traveler expectations.

She stated, “In TIS2025, we are going to reimagine tourism to adapt it to this new reality and to redefine the new roadmap always from an ethical, innovative, and sustainable point of view.” The summit will address several key topics, including: Avilés also highlighted the importance of inclusive and accessible tourism, renewing communication and marketing strategies, investing in new business models with collaborative structures, implementing solutions to address climate change, and talent management focusing on diversity and inclusion. The announcement comes amid positive trends in the tourism industry.



According to the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, Spain welcomed a record 94 million foreign visitors last year, a 10% increase from 2023. Visitor spending also rose by 16% during the same period, with forecasts suggesting that the number of tourists could exceed 100 million by the end of 2025. The previous edition, TIS2024, transformed Seville into a global tourism hub, attracting nearly 8,000 industry professio.
