This recognition from Travel Texas comes after the city completed a rigorous multi-step certification process, highlighting the city’s commitment to tourism development as a strategic means of boosting the local economy. Located in the heart of the North Houston/Woodlands area, Shenandoah is known for its small-town charm, yet it is poised to offer visitors big-city amenities.
As part of the inaugural year for the Tourism Friendly Texas program, Shenandoah stands out as one of the first communities in the state to receive this accolade.
