A TOP Limerick crafter is due to showcase their creations at a “magicial market” this November. Irish Hide Designs is a luxury interiors and apparel company based in Limerick, where owner Derek McCarthy set up the business in 2016. The McCarthy family have been in the sheepskin and cowhide business since 1810.
Derek is recognised globally as an expert in sourcing the finest quality leathers, cowhides and sheepskins. Limerick company Irish Hide Designs is joining more than 200 of Ireland’s top artists, designers and food producers in exhibiting at this year’s “beloved” Ballymaloe Craft Fair, at Ballymaloe Grainstore in Cork from November 15 to 17, and 22 to 24. 9m in funding for Shannon Airport The annual festive fair is said to “showcase the best of Irish-made craft and design” and will feature a range of textiles, glassware, sculptures, art, woodwork, jewellery and leather goods, as well as food products. Tickets are from €8 and children under 12 go free. Bree Allen of Ballymaloe Grainstore said: “We are so excited to welcome back our talented suppliers and stall holders and introduce some new faces too.
“We have a fantastic selection of stalls this year and I’m certain visitors looking for a perfect Christmas present will find what they are looking for.
