Hinduism has continued from India to countries such as Nepal, Mauritius, Indonesia, the United States, the United Kingdom and many more. As Hinduism has grown worldwide, many temples have been established in these countries. The United States is one of the countries with the largest Hindu population, and there are many famous Hindu temples in the country, which shows the prosperity of Hinduism.

Famous Hindu Temples In The United States 1. Sri Ganesha Temple in Anchorage, Alaska Inaugurated in the year 1999, the Sri Ganesha Temple in Anchorage is the first Hindu temple to be situated in Alaska. The Sri Ganesha Temple In Anchorage is considered the nothernmost temple in the world.

The temple serves the Hindu community in the Birmingham metropolitan area of the United States. The temple conducts pujas each day and some specially curated events each week. Many spiritual events are also held to enhance the spirituality amongst the devotees.

Malibu Hindu Temple, Calabasas, LA Located in the scenic Malibu, the Malibu Hindu Temple provides a peaceful haven where spirituality thrives. Built in the traditional South Indian style, the temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. The Malibu Hindu Temple's quiet atmosphere, beautiful carvings, vibrant murals, and majestic towers vividly tell tales of gods, goddesses, and ancient legends, providing comfort and a sense of spiritual resonance.

The temple also aims to bring unity to all people. Many spiritual events are held in the temple including daily activities. Various monthly and weekly events are also held to encourage and develop spiritual practices.

It is specifically dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity, but also to many other deities like Lord Ganesha, Mahalakshmi, Ram, Sita and Lakshman, Sri Raman Narayana, Lord Ayyappa, Lord Murugan, Lord Hanuman, Sri Sai Baba, etc.

Hindu Temple of Florida Founded in 1983 by a group of Hindus in the Tampa, Florida area, the Florida Hindu Temple is a non profit organisation dedicated to promoting Sanatan Dharm.

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Atlanta Inaugurated on August 26, 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is a traditional Hindu temple for worship and spiritual practice. BAPS Shayona promotes vegetarian eating by people of all faiths and encourages its practitioners to follow Hindu diet. BAPS followers seek to achieve spiritual liberation by merging with Brahman, transcending material concerns, and devoting themselves to devotion and service to God.

It is the first temple in the United States dedicated to the goddess Durga and is open to all the Hindus.

As the largest Hindu temple in Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland, it is central to the region’s religious and cultural heritage.

Sri Meenakshi Temple, Pearland, Texas Sri Meenakshi Temple in Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas, is a famous Hindu temple in the Houston area dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi, an aspect of Goddess Parvati. Her consort, Sundareswarar, represents an aspect of Lord Shiva.

More importantly, it is the only temple outside India dedicated to Meenakshi, the goddess of marriage.
