The aviation scene in Israel is changing daily, and many foreign airlines have raised concerns about the increasing conflict in the region. Some of the world's biggest carriers have suspended operations in Tel Aviv for safety precautions. Passengers have been left in limbo with their travel plans axed, and many Israeli travelers have been stranded outside their home country.



In the past month alone, several airlines, including Ryanair and Delta Air Lines , have opted to limit operations to the region until tension subsides. On the other hand, Israel's national carrier, El Al, has vowed not to change ticket prices between now and the end of the year to ensure it can provide services between Tel Aviv and Athens , Vienna International Airport , Dubai International Airport , and Cyprus . These tickets are now on sale for between $199 and $349.

Four key destinations With EL AL pledging to add flights to these four destinations, we will allow travelers to arrive and depart from Israel and then project onto other flights from the respective hubs. The Israeli carrier will make 80,000 economy class tickets available. El Al's latest move followed a public backlash that prices continued to increase for air travel to the region, specifically on their national carrier, which had responded to the demand for flight availability.

For now, Ryanair plans to not fly to Israel until September 30. 1 Bluebird Airways 525 flights Greek carrier Bluebird Airlines (BZ) operates from its hub at Heraklion International Airport, which serves the island of Crete and is the fourth largest city in Greece. This airline was first established in 2008 and predominantly involves passenger and cargo travel to/from Israel. Charter flights are another part of its key business.

This represents almost 100,000 seats, which makes it the largest foreign international carrier. 2 Aegean Airlines 362 flights The flag carrier of Greece is the second airline in the top five foreign carriers in Israel. A Star Alliance member since 2010, the airline's main hubs are athens international airport , Thessaloniki, and Larnaca. Aegean Airlines had suspended its operations in Israel until August 22; however, in September, the airline is scheduled to operate 362 flights to or from Tel Aviv, Athens, and Larnaca.

While Aegean will be the second largest foreign carrier in September, for August, the Greek carrier suspended its operations in neighboring Lebanon due to escalating tensions. It joined the list of many foreign carriers, including Condor, Air France , and Lufthansa, while the airlines prioritized passenger and crew safety. A handful of other airlines, including Air France and Lufthansa, have already suspended flights.
