Debbie Greenwood shared a health update on social media after undergoing surgery. The former Radio 2 star said she had been admitted to hospital for a second stay before sharing some good news. Taking to X on Tuesday night, the broadcaster, 65, revealed she is doing a lot better.

Posting a clip with pictures of herself over the years, Debbie wrote: "I know I’ve been a bit quiet these past few months, but following a second stay and surgery at the amazing Kingston Hospital, I’m all better! Look out world - I’m coming for your chocolate!! Thank heavens for our NHS! http://Debbiegreenwoodceremonies.com." Social media users flocked to comment on the news as many sent their well wishes including Radio 2 presenter Tony Blackburn, who penned, "Glad you're better.

Taking to social media at the time, she wrote: “A huge thank you to the amazing team at Kingston Hospital who looked after me so well for my unexpected 6 night stay. You were so, so kind, attentive, patient and cheerful." Explaining that the hospital in Kingston, Surrey, had been " so busy", she continued: “The hospital is incredibly busy – especially A&E.

But still – what an NHS we have! Thank you, thank you.” Debbie made her debut o.
