Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge has caused quite a stir with his luxurious cook-at-home Christmas dinner kit. Priced at an eye-watering £280, which marks a £65 increase from the previous year, this festive barbecue feast is causing controversy. The price soars even higher without including the cost of the barbecue itself.

Intended for Big Green Egg BBQs that come with a hefty price tag of £1,950, the package also necessitates extras like a £58 bag of charcoal and a £39 thermometer. Scheduled for delivery on December 21, it features both turkey and rib of beef, supposedly serving up to 15 guests. Amidst the current cost-of-living crisis, some have lambasted Kerridge , 51, accusing him of being disconnected from reality.



One disgruntled individual sarcastically commented: "So pleased they've dropped the interest rates. Else I'd never be able to afford this." Others were more enthusiastic, with one fan describing it as a "great idea".
