Tom Jones has reignited a decades-old feud as he labels Engelbert Humperdink a ‘p***k’. The Welsh singer , 84 whose career began in the 1960s and included hits It’s Not Unusual, She’s A Lady and Sexbomb, has snubbed Humperdink’s, 88, offer of a truce after they fell out 40 years ago. ‘There is nothing friendly about me and Engelbert because he is a p***k and you can quote me on that.

We fell out years ago,’ told The Sun on Sunday. Jones revealed there was no chance that Humperdink and he will become friends anytime soon, adding that he has rejected Humperdink’s attempts to reconcile. ‘No.

He has tried but I don’t want to talk.’ This isn’t the first time Jones has commented on Humperdink. Speaking of the singer to Metro in 2015 Jones said:’Once a c**t, always a c**t.

’ Humperdink, who was born in India during the period of British rule, rose to fame during the mid-60s and has sold over 140million records worldwide. In 2012, Humperdinck, whose real name is Arnold Dorsey, (perhaps infamously) represented the UK at Eurovision , finishing in 25th place with just 12 points . The legendary singer has previously hit out at Jones and in February 2023, he told The Sun that he hadn’t spoken to Jones in 40 years.

He then joked: ‘I think he’s lost his voice. I don’t think he’s got it anymore.’ The reason behind their decades-long rift is unclear, but it has been speculated that it may have been over a romantic partner.

Jones has sold 100 million records during his lengthy career and had 36 Top 40 hits in the UK. It is estimated that as of 2024, the singer is worth a whopping £252 million, which also may have something to do with his lucrative role on The Voice. Jones has been a coach on the ITV reality singing series for most of its run since premiering in 2012.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk , the singer defended The Voice UK line-up change after Olly Murs and Anne-Marie were axed.

He also revealed that he had no plans to go anywhere. I would do it anyway. When young singers come up to me and ask a question, I will give them an answer. ‘If I have time, I will talk to them and share what I think they should do in order to go forward.
