Hoda Kotb knows her Today co-host so well. Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager were trying out the new Auntie Anne’s pretzel-scented perfume – which is aptly named Knead – on Today when Bush Hager got a bright idea on how to hack the perfume’s $25 price tag. “Or you can just go to your local food court, buy the pretzel, and.
..,” she announced before grabbing an Auntie Anne’s pretzel and luxuriously rubbing it onto her arm.
“Don’t do it,” Kotb warned as she watched her co-host go for it. The Today crew and Kotb howled with laughter as they watched Bush Hager rub the pretzel into her arm. “Who is this girl?” Kotb asked.
“Why not?” Bush Hager said to her co-host with a laugh. “The best part is, you knew it was coming.” She then smelled her arm and shrugged.
The co-hosts were pleasantly surprised by the perfume’s fragrance after trying it on the show. “Is it weird that I don’t hate that? Of course I like a carbohydrate,” Bush Hager said after taking a whiff of the pretzel-scented fragrance. She added that it smells “alluring,” and asked Kotb if that’s “what Paris smelled like.
” Kotb agreed, adding, “That’s kind of nice, like a buttery bread.” Auntie Anne’s Knead: Eau De Pretzel has notes of “buttery dough, salt, and a hint of caramel sweetness,” according to Real Simple . The perfume reportedly sold out in just 10 minutes after it went on sale earlier this month.
Bush Hager is always finding ways to make her Today co-host laugh. Earlier this week, she teased Kotb for wearing a rain poncho when she met Tom Cruise at the 2024 Paris Olympics. “I mean, I’m sorry but you look like a condom,” she told Kotb, who almost spit out her coffee in shock.
