By Bola Bamigbola The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Friday, inaugurated the Alternative High School for Girls, a facility for academic and vocational education for young mothers in Osogbo, Osun State. In her remarks at the event, which was attended by Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, his wife Titilola, and senior officials of the state government, Tinubu stated that the completion of the project would ensure that all women and girls, regardless of their circumstances, have access to quality education. Commending Adeleke for approving the project site, Tinubu also praised a team from the Universal Basic Education Commission, led by Dr.

Hamid Bobboyi, for ensuring that the school was built and completed in record time. Describing the facilities available at the school, she said it was equipped with a crèche to enable young mothers to attend classes without worrying about their babies. “A skills acquisition centre to provide vocational training and economic empowerment; and modern classrooms to create a conducive learning environment for academic excellence.
