President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former head of state, Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar and Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, are among other eminent leaders expected at this year’s Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe Annual Awards Lecture. While the President is slated to be the special guest of honour, Abubakar will be the chairman of the occasion while Zulum will be the keynote speaker.
The Director General of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe Annual Awards Lecture, Chief Chineme Onyeke, in a statement on Friday, said other notable Nigerians expected at the event that will be held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, on November 16, 2024, are former head of state, General Yakubu Gowon, who will serve as the father of the day with some governors, National Assembly members and ministers as guests of honour. Aside from the Borno State governor, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara; Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma; Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule; Enugu State Governor, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, will grace the occasion and will be conferred awards while the Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, tops the list of ministers and National Assembly members to be honoured at the event.
