Timothée Chalamet has been on an upward trajectory as of late with his nuanced performances and it looks like he's about to do the same with his upcoming film, A Complete Unknown. The first-look trailer was released on Wednesday and depicts the actor as iconic singer Bob Dylan and the controversy surrounding the switch to electrically amplified instrumentation. After watching the incredible teaser clip, fans have been left in awe of Timothée's representation of the musician and flocked to Reddit to share their thoughts.
Praising his musical ability, one fan commented: "Is Chalamet using his real voice? It honestly sounds really good." As another fan agreed: "I could hear hints of Chalamet's voice in there, so I believe it is real. Which is amazing.

He really does not miss." Yet another said: "He's crafted his career as savily as any young actor I can think of since Leo.
If this is a hit, and I really think it will be his stardom is going to be as bright as anyone in Hollywood right now. He's already got a ton of recognition with the younger audience, but the 45-65 moviegoers are going to gobble this thing up." A fifth added: "I'm really enjoying watching this crop of 25-35 year old actors really grow into themselves and make interesting projects.
Been in the bag for Timmy for a while, but I really think he's gonna kill this. Very impressed by the singing." As well as Timothée, the film features an ensemble cast including Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook and Dan Fogler.
It's been directed by James Mangold who has previously helmed Knight and Day, The Wolverine and most recently, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Timothée stepped into the shoes of Willy Wonka in 2023, impressing with her performance as the sweets extraordinaire. He followed this up with the Dune sequel which released earlier this year which saw him star as Paul Atreides.
A Complete Unknown is set to release in UK cinemas in January 2025..
