Because, actually, it was. The two were filming a PDA-filled scene for their new film, Marty Supreme . The movie, produced by A24, is based on a fictional story and set in the world of 1950s ping pong culture, E! News has learned.
While filming the kissing scene near a wall in what appeared to be an alley, Gwyneth, 52, sported an old-fashioned red cape dress and long black gloves and wore her hair in an updo. Timothée, 28, was dressed in a vintage gray suit and wore glasses and had a mustache. While Timothée was cast as the title character in Marty Supreme , details about Gwyneth's role in the project have not been revealed.
The film, helmed by Uncut Gems director Josh Safdie , also stars Tyler, the Creator , Odessa A’zion , Penn Jillette , Shark Tank 's Kevin O'Leary and filmmaker Abel Ferrara . In addition, Fran Drescher , 67, stars as the mother of Timothée's character, Variety reported Oct. 4.
This marks one of Gwyneth's first movie roles since she reprised the part of Pepper Potts in Avengers: Endgame in 2019. And she’s been busy on set as of late. This past summer, the Goop founder completed comedy Miracle on 74th Street which also stars Drew Barrymore , David Krumholtz , Christine Taylor and Jason Biggs .
However, she has graced the small screen in recent years, appearing on Ryan Murphy , Ian .
