Three people have been taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries following a crash on Beaumont Road on Sunday. The incident occurred at 7.20pm on Sunday , 22 September and involved three vehicles.

Three people, two woman and one man, were taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries as a result of the collision. The road stayed closed until past 10pm as investigation and recovery work continued on Sunday evening. (Image: Phil Taylor) Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) were on the scene for around one hour and North West Ambulance (NWAS) were in attendance and took care of two people.



A spokesperson for GMFRS, said: “At just after 7.20pm on Sunday (September 22) two fire engines from Bolton Community Fire Station attended a crash involving three vehicles on Beaumont Road, Bolton. “Firefighters assisted colleagues from North West Ambulance Service in the care of two people while making the scene safe.

Crews were in attendance for around one hour. (Image: Phil Taylor) Although the cause of this crash is not known, a local councillor has urged drivers to take extra care when on the road. Cllr Andy Morgan said: “Speed limits are set for a reason by police and highways authorities.

“They are set to enhance road safety and reduce the risk of accidents, protecting drivers, passengers and pedestrians alike. “They are a maximum speed, not a target, and I would respectfully request on behalf of us all that the speed limits are adhered to.”.
