Prayagraj : Three persons, including a child, were killed and two others sustained serious injuries in two separate road accidents reported under the limits of Soraon police station on Friday. In the first incident, a 17-year-old cyclist identified as Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Puranpur, was knocked down by a speeding car near Mewalal Intermediate College Road on Prayagraj-Pratapgarh highway under the limits of Soraon police station on Friday morning. In the second case, a 55-year-old man identified as Rakesh Kumar and his grandson Aman (4), residents of Noorpur, were killed and two others, including Arti (30) and her daughter Arpita, sustained serious injuries after the bike carrying them was hit by a speeding brick-laden tractor near Saraydeena Road under the limits of the same police station on Friday.



The incident, according to police, took place when the deceased Rakesh Kumar, along with his daughter and grandchildren, were going to drop her daughter to her in-laws’ house in Sujanipur. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The injured Arti and Arpita were admitted to a hospital for treatment.
