Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ has beaten Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ Hindi version at the box-office with Rs 586 crore so far, and this horror-comedy could be Hindi cinema’s first Rs 600 crore grosser. This is unexpected and truly history in the making. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday teased his friend and filmmaker Karan Johar for hosting more chat shows and directing lesser films.

Now speaking to IWM Buzz, an actor from the film has slammed the actress for taking away all the credit for the film’s success. The actor was quoted saying, “Sir, what to do? It’s all about hardselling one’s own image. Aaj kal apni taarif khud karni pardti hai.

You have to blow your own trumpet. Otherwise, who will blow it for you? We agree, Shradha is a big part of Stree’s success. But to claim that the film is running on her account is like Jayaji claiming Sholay ran on her account.

” The actor added, " You will never hear any actor or technician from Sholay claiming to be its USP, not even director Ramesh Sippy. Not even Salim-Javed who wrote Sholay." Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra , which bears uncanny resemblance to Divya Khossla’s film Saavi .

The teaser trailer begins in a seedy and atmospheric bar or restaurant where Alia is gutted and struggles for words as Manoj Pahwa listens to her story. The whole trailer has montages of the actress and what she and her family is going through. And she gives this role her all.

Seeing the teaser trailer, a fan of the actress took a dig at Shraddha Kapoor and Stree 2 and wrote- “doing a 20-30 min role in a multistarrer film is not female centric , this is what female centric actually looks like ..”.
