TM: Rylan says 'King Charles has won the Olympics' This Morning was paused by host Rylan Clark this week as he issued some urgent “breaking news” to viewers. The former X Factor star was chatting with co-host Josie Gibson and panellist Gyles Brandreth about the Paris Olympics after the closing ceremony on Sunday (August 11), before the Paralympic Games kick off in a few weeks. Congratulating Team GB on their achievements, Gyles and Rylan got pretty excited about the sports.

Gyles said: “We enjoyed the French experience hugely and we enjoyed all our medals, which is a fantastic achievement.” Rylan commented: “We were third in the medals table, the collective medal table.” Gyles then chimed in: “If you count the King as the head of state of this country and all the other Commonwealth countries, I think our King Charles as head of state did better than all the others!” Rylan Clark paused the show to issue breaking news (Image: ITV) That’s when Rylan opted to share the “breaking news” for the day, telling fans: “He’s won the Olympics.
