Celebrated hair stylist Trevor Sorbie, 75, made a poignant appearance on This Morning, where he shared with presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley the devastating news of his terminal bowel cancer diagnosis. The internationally acclaimed hairdresser, who has been awarded an MBE and won British Hairdresser of the Year four times, recounted the moment his life changed after losing a significant amount of blood one evening. The emotional segment saw both Ben and Cat deeply affected by Trevor's candid recounting, as he sat alongside his wife, describing the initial shock they experienced upon learning of his condition.
He told the audience: "I lost a lot of blood one night and was unusually disturbed so went to hospital. They told me I had bowel cancer and I had a little panic attack. I looked at Carole [his wife] and she looked at me, we were both speechless, didn't know what to say.
So I went and had a big gin and tonic." Carole, sharing in the emotional burden, continued the story, revealing the cancer's spread to his liver and the gruelling surgeries that followed. "It then spread to his liver and he had a six and a half hour operation, he came back and he had another six and a half hour operation," she explained.
Trevor's illustrious career spans over five decades, during which he has styled numerous celebrities, including the Queen, Lorraine Kelly, Robbie Williams, and Helen Mirren. His battle with cancer has been marked by resilience; previously, he disclosed the harrowing.
