A man earning merely Rs 13,000 a month has shocked those around him by suddenly adopting a lavish lifestyle, which included driving luxury cars and gifting his girlfriend a luxurious 4BHK apartment. This dramatic change raised eyebrows and left many in disbelief. The unfolding story turned out to be even more astonishing, revealing a shocking case of fraud.

The individual at the center of this scandal is Harsh Kumar Kshirsagar, a contract worker from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. Alongside two accomplices, he allegedly embezzled an astounding Rs 21.59 crore from the regional sports complex administration through internet banking.



The funds, originally allocated for government sports programs, were instead funneled into extravagant purchases. Kshirsagar's spending spree included acquiring a BMW car and bike, as well as purchasing a 4BHK apartment for his girlfriend located near the airport. Additionally, he commissioned a custom pair of diamond-encrusted glasses from a prominent jeweler.

One of his accomplices, the husband of another contract worker, also splurged on an SUV valued at Rs 35 lakh. The scheme was facilitated by the opening of a bank account in the name of the sports complex at Indian Bank, intended to manage government funds. Transactions required checks signed by the Deputy Sports Director; however, Kshirsagar and his accomplices—Yashoda Shetty and her husband BK Jeevan—forged documents to gain access to internet banking.
