Masaba Gupta shares her postpartum Chakrasana practice, promoting yoga for new mothers and postnatal fitness on Instagram. #postpartumyoga #newmomfitness Giving birth to a child is one of the most special milestones in a woman's life. Motherhood, however, comes with its own set of challenges.

Not only does it impact a woman physically, it also has mental and emotional ramifications. As such, the postpartum period is said to be extremely crucial. A woman has to take care of her overall well-being for the sake of her baby, while also healing and returning to a regular routine.

It includes engaging in activities that bring joy and comfort, alleviate stress, and promote health and immunity. Yoga is one such activity, and new mother Masaba Gupta is swearing by it. The ace fashion designer, who welcomed a baby girl recently with husband Satyadeep Mishra, took to Instagram to post a video of herself doing a rather challenging yoga pose: the Chakrasana .

Take a look. "The first Chakrasana postpartum feels like being reborn. But, no better way to end a year Or start a new one for that matter," the 35-year-old captioned the video.

Gupta, who has always been into yoga and fitness even before her pregnancy, appeared to hesitate a bit before arching her spine and lifting her body off the yoga mat with ease. With her hands and feet carrying the bulk of her weight, the mother-of-one held this pose briefly. Needless to say, she perfected the asana and showed many new mothers following her ho.
