The V8 engine was one of the most beautiful sounding and most recognizable parts of the Italian brand. Unfortunately Maserati is saying bye to its V8 forever with one last hurrah. The Maserati Quattroporte is one of most recognizable and popular car from the Italian car manufacturer and one of the defining features of the car over the years has been its V8 engine.

Maserati has unveiled the Quattroporte Grand Finale which is possibly the last V8-engine Maserati to be every produced. Sadly this is also the last car to wear the Quattroporte badge as well. The V8 engine is loosly related to the same engine found in the Ferrari 458 Italia but it is mostly its own thing.

It is a 3.8L flat plane crank V8 engine which produces 572 bhp and gets a engine cover signed by all the Fuoriserie team and the engineers responsible for the powertrain. This is sad last hurrah to this engine and it was considered as one of the best sounding V8 engines of all time.

On the outside, the Grand Finale sports a beautiful Elegant Blu Nobile colour paired to brake calipers finished in brushed aluminum. One cool detail is that the identification number on the door and windscreen is listed as “999999”. Other custom touches to the car include a full tan leather interior.

Options include black leather wrapped A-pillars and a cutom sill plate having the name “Quattroporte Grand Finale”. There are also Maserati tridents stitched onto the seats as well. Along with the Quattroporte, Maserati also unveiled a one-off MC20 IRIS edition with Al Aqua Rainbow colour with custom grey and blue interiors as well.

It gets diamond cut alloy wheels and silver graphics on the side too to distinguish it from other Masertais. Both the cars are going to a very special Maserati aficionado in the US who is an entrepreneur in the Biomedical field. The cars are unique and the Quattroporte is a one of a kind which makes it even more special than some exotic vehicles.
