Are you someone who seeks adventure and new experiences at every opportunity? Do you often set off on new travels at the drop of a hat? If so, Wizz Air’s latest offer may be just the ticket. In a first-of-its-kind scheme, the European airline is offering customers unlimited travel opportunities under a new “ All You Can Fly Membership ”. Best of all, it’s available at a steal until Friday 16 August.

At £534 per person for 12 months – £445 until Friday – lovers of last-minute escapes can pack a case and head into the skies at a moment's notice. Given the ever-increasing cost of flights, just a couple of peak-season trips could be all it takes to recoup the fee. Nowhere is off-bounds, making it a particularly tempting offer for un-fussy hodophiles.

While the first flight is complimentary with a membership, a £9 booking fee is required for each subsequent booking. Fancy a city break ? Explore Krakow’s Christmas markets or ancient attractions in Rome . Beach bum? Chuck the swimmers in a case and lounge on the shores surrounding Dalaman in Turkey or party in Mallorca ’s seaside restaurants.

Culture vulture? Embark on a Game of Thrones tour in Dubrovnik or glide through Venice ’s canals. With almost 200 cities covered across 50 countries, the possibilities are endless. So, what’s the catch? Firstly, it’s not designed for the organised, obsessive travellers among us.

If colour-coded itineraries and packing lists are your thing, go back to the drawing board and keep your eyes on that bucket list adventure . Prospective travellers can choose from available destinations 72 hours before the date and time of departure – standby flights, essentially. Also, costs will shoot up if you struggle to pack light or can’t bear being separated from loved ones for the short-haul stretch.

Hold baggage and seat selection are not included in the membership and must be added to bookings separately. Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air’s commercial officer, said on the membership, “We are thrilled to be the first to introduce this one-of-a-kind membership for travellers in Europe. The Wizz All You Can Fly membership will give customers hundreds of spontaneous travel options for a fixed price, giving them the freedom to fly whenever is convenient without paying extra.

From the adventurous travellers to the digital nomads, this membership will make travel easier for frequent flyers and connect people with new people and places.” Best of all, you can explore all that Europe and beyond has to offer with a (relatively) intact eco-conscience. It goes without saying that frequent air travel is by no means a sustainable practice.

However, Wizz Air was named the “Most Sustainable Low-Cost Airline” for the fourth consecutive year at the World Finance Sustainability Awards 2024 . The award is thanks to Wizz Air customers contributing the lowest carbon emission intensity per passenger per kilometre among its competitors and the airline’s dedication to significantly reducing its CO2 intensity by 2030. On the award, Yvonne Moynihan, corporate and ESG officer, said: “Wizz Air is proud to be recognised by World Finance for the fourth consecutive year for our unwavering commitment to sustainability.

Our ULCC business model ensures we are sustainable by design. In addition to renewing our fleet and enhancing operational efficiency, we are heavily investing in sustainable aviation fuel, which is the most significant means for reducing aviation emissions in the mid-term.” So, are you sold? What destinations are you looking forward to ticking off?.
