However, she truly gained recognition with her impressive performance in her debut film on OTT. Yes, it’s none other than Sanjana Sanghi. Born on 2nd September, 2016, in Delhi, India to businessman Sandeep Sanghi and homemaker Shagun.
Sanjana competed her schooling from Modern School, Delhi and then did her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College. Sanjana was just 14 when she made her acting debut in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama film Rockstar, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri. She was cast by Mukesh Chhabra after he saw her performing on stage at her school.
Later on, she got small roles in hit films like Hindi Medium and Fukrey Returns. In 2018, Sanjana Sanghi made her OTT debut alongside Sushant Singh Rajput in Dil Bechara. Directed by Mukesh Chhabra, it is a Hindi remake of John Green’s novel The Fault In Our Stars.
The film released a month after Sushant’s death. He died in Mumbai on June 14, 2020 at the age of 34. On November 11, Sanjana shared a heartfelt note for her debut film Rockstar that completed 13 years.
