Even veteran celebs of the '60s and '70s gave in to the over-the-top style of the era, trading in glitz and hippie chic for mountainous manes held aloft by enough AquaNet to puncture the Ozone layer.

It was inarguably a distinctive moment in pop culture style that burned bright and ultimately burned out.
