The Wolfe Tones are set to play their last gig ever next summer in Limerick’s Thomond Park. The band, formed in 1963, recently headlined a trio of shows to nearly 45,000 people in Dublin as part of their 60th anniversary tour. Noel Nagle (80), Brian Warfield (78), and Tommy Byrne (80) were set to hang up their microphones and instruments for good after the 3Arena gigs but are returning for one more farewell concert in July 2025.
Their very last performance will take place in iconic rugby stadium Thomond Park on July 13. Tickets to The Wolfe Tones’ ‘final farewell’ start at €49.90 and go on sale on Monday, October 28, at 8am.
Fans can also register for a special MCD presale, which is taking place this Friday, October 25, at 9am. Wolfe Tones frontman Warfield said the group was “completely overwhelmed” by the throngs of fans who turned out in Dublin and Belfast for their final shows earlier this month. "All shows sold out very fast and we know that a lot of people were left disappointed they could not see The Wolfe Tones for one last time,” he said.
“We are truly humbled, and the demand to see the group in a major outdoor setting for a final time has been immense. “We are therefore delighted to have the opportunity to perform in a major stadium concert at the famed Thomond Park on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
