The Wolfe Tones legend Brian Warfield has said the band would reunite if Oasis asked them to be their opening act on stage at Croke Park next year. The Irish folk band are set to retire next month after a stellar 60-year career. But Warfield told us that The Wolfe Tones would reunite if Oasis wanted them on stage with them.

I think we will come back for that. I love them and I would love to be on there with them. It would be great fun.

” It comes after Liam Gallagher teased that the band could open for them when they play Croke Park next year on August 16 and 17 in Dublin. Liam and his brother Noel have always been proud of their Irish roots, with their mother hailing from Charlestown in Co Mayo and their father hailing from Meath. Excitement has been steadily building over the past month after the two brothers announced a surprise reunion for 2025 - with two sold-out dates set for Croke Park.

No official support acts have been announced yet, but several bands have been suggested online to fill the slots, including Dublin rockers Fontaines DC, Blossoms, the Manic Street Preachers and Kasabian.
