The Westin Singapore is delighted to announce the extension of its partnership with the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon for an additional two years, continuing its role as the Official Elite Hotel. This prestigious collaboration aligns with the upcoming three-day festival, scheduled from November 29 to December 1, 2024, which anticipates attracting up to 50,000 participants from around the world.
As the only World Athletics Gold Label race in the region, the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon stands as a key highlight in Singapore’s sports calendar. The event invites professional athletes, dedicated runners, and fitness enthusiasts alike to experience an extraordinary running journey through the city, with the course weaving through some of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks. This year, The Westin Singapore proudly reintroduces Natalie Dau, a Guinness World Record holder renowned for her Project 1000 charity run from Thailand to Singapore in just 12 days, as the official ambassador.
Joining her is Soh Rui Yong, Singapore’s national long-distance runner and last year’s fastest local athlete at the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon. Adding to the roster is Joakim Gomez, a popular radio personality and passionate runner, who achieved a personal best in last year’s mar.
