The Uplift is a monthly series in which our Style & Trends Editor Charlotte Olby uncovers the best decor to bring joy to your home. She consults our experts and picks through thousands of pieces from the biggest designers and retailers to bring you the very best. I know, I also don't want to hear that fall is right around the corner.

But as much as we don't want to see summer shrinking away, there is something rather lovely about ushering in fall hues, warming scents, cozy nights in, and of course some of the best holidays of the year will be right on the horizon. And with such wonderful celebrations to look forward to, it is no wonder that the H&G editors have hosting on the brain. Here, I asked our shopping-savvy team to divulge their most-wanted fall decor ideas to get us all in the mood for the new season.

From darling table linens to tablescape-ready decor (think fall, foliage, and flowers) as well as some striking glassware and harvest festival-inspired motifs, these 15 fall decor buys are sure to warm your spirits ahead of the changing weather. 'Fall is the season of hosting and dinner parties in my home, so my focus is always on my kitchen table,' says H&G 's Kitchen & Bathroom Editor Molly Malsom. 'This gingham tablecloth is truly a classic – it brings in the moodier hues of the season and gives my table a super cozy vibe.

Paired with a contrast of gold and natural woven accessories, I think it will look really striking!' Head of Interiors Hebe Hatton is embracing lampscaping this season. 'I am looking for a kitchen lamp to make my most used space a bit cozier and more welcoming. This is the perfect size to fit on a countertop and I love the rustic pattern of the shade too - subtle but still adds something.

' 'I’ve loved browsing McGee & Co.’s new collection for fall, and this printed pillow cover is high on my wishlist right now,' notes Color & Paint Editor Emily Moorman. 'As summer ends and the autumnal months begin, I love to switch out the pillows on my living room couch, a quick and easy way to embrace the rich, warm colors of fall.

' 'I look forward to the fall decor drop at Anthropologie every year; from candles to ornaments, wreaths, and tableware, they always have such a beautiful assortment of seasonal designs,' says Zara Stacey, Managing Editor at Homes & Gardens . 'Their Icon Juice Glasses are available all year round, and come with a colorful beaded glass icon. To add an autumnal touch to your seasonal tablescape, the deep orange Leaf icon is utterly adorable.

Why not mix and match with the Mushroom, Squirrel, and Apple designs for a full harvest!' 'Of all the places to shop for beautiful seasonal decor, Terrain has to be my number 1,' adds Zara. 'Renowned for selling products that champion indoor-outdoor living and that celebrate the beauty of the natural world, their designs are always guaranteed to impress. It was hard to pick a favorite product, but this modern metal wreath caught my eye, perfect if you’re looking for more modern fall decor ideas .

There’s also a matching Mountain Ash Iron Bunch , ideal for placing in a bud vase.' 'I can't get enough of Pottery Barn's new fall collection and these napkins are the ultimate tablescape spruce,' says Abby Wilson, H&G 's Interior Design News Editor. 'Fall is the perfect time to host family and friends, so I'm adding these to my cart now.

' I've never really been a fan of faux flowers but recently they seem to have really stepped up the materials used and honestly, I can't tell the difference between real and fake anymore. I love these autumnal dahlias inspired by Joanna Gaines' own garden. Plus, I can't seem to keep my real ones alive.

'I can see myself serving up all sorts of canapés on this hardwood cheeseboard,' says Sleep Editor Emilia Hitching. 'It's the sort of subtly seasonal accent that still works long after fall ends.' 'The easiest way to update your home for the change in season is with quilts and throw pillows,' Hebe advises.

'This patchwork quilt reminds me of a vintage family heirloom I have (without the musty smell). It's also reversible so I am seeing that as two quilts for the price of one.' 'This Gothic glass vase would be just the thing to showcase my autumnal flower arrangements.

Shop it in small, medium, or large, as suits your space - or buy all three to dot in different rooms around the house,' Emily recommends. I have been eyeing up a similar (and much more expensive) such of these swirly, amber-colored glasses for a while now so when I spotted a 4-pack for under $40 I was delighted! They'll make the perfect vessel for a warming cocktail by the fire. 'There’s nothing better than a cozy home during fall, and lighting is key to creating a relaxing environment,' Emily suggests.

'I love this new lamp from McGee & Co., its on-trend brown-colored base is the perfect way to decorate with neutrals right now and it’ll no doubt ramp up the cozy factor in my home.' 'The return of fall also signals the return of long, relaxing baths,' says Molly.

'A bath caddy is an absolute must-have to create the right ambiance and this wood and bronze option is gorgeous. Not only is it a decorative addition, but it has plenty of space for a candle and a glass of wine!' 'Every time fall comes around I stock up on candles, and I've got my eye on these taper holders this year. Sleek and understated, they're the perfect addition to a dining table or console vignette,' adds Abby.

Retro prints are high on my wish list this fall. This hand-painted throw pillow from Soho Home is offered in a delightful rust hue that will pair beautifully with neutral pillows and some deep chocolate brown and toffee shades. Yum.
