Lake Bohinj is Slovenia’s largest glacial lake which is hidden in the north west of the country.

If you are walking just one side, walk the north side. There are also free buses, and a lovely boat ride that you can build into your walk.” Many have rated Lake Bohinj higher than Slovenia’s more famous Lake Bled.
If you do want to see both, they are located just 30 minutes apart by car. With many tourists flocking to the likes of Lake Garda or Lake Como in Italy, you can get the same beautiful views here for a cheaper price - and avoid the huge crowds during the summer months. Don't miss.
