It's home to the beautiful RHS Garden Wisley which has been visited by royalty.

The garden is known as one of the world’s greatest and it is packed with horticultural inspiration. The town of Woking is a pretty place to stop by on your way to the garden. Located in Surrey, the town is known for being the landing place for the aliens in H.

Just an hour away from London, the town has the benefits of being close to the big city but also has a much slower and quieter feel to it.

While it is located on private land, these ruins were once a monastery until it was dissolved during the reign of King Henry VIII. The surrounding area is a great place to explore the countryside.

Throughout the year, there are several gardening shows which take place at the RHS Garden Wisley, for example, the famous Chelsea Flower Show and the RHS Botanical Art and Photography Show . Inside, you’ll find the Rock Garden, a tropical inspired Exotic Garden and the Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden. As the seasons change, the garden beautifully shows the variety of nature throughout the year, from autumnal changes to the trees or new flowers blooming in spring. The car park is spacious and even from there the site looks impressive. We paid £16.50 each to visit and it was thoroughly worth it.

“Some other gardens are more expensive and a lot smaller. The site is divided into lots of different areas and the handy map is worth using. The flowers and borders were stunning as was each of the gardens.
