The London Underground can get you across different sides of London efficiently, and although it can be challenging to get across the city sometimes, there is always a way. While there are hundreds of stations dotted around the capital, a lot of them are in close proximity – walking distance even. There are so many examples, such as Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road, or Moorgate and Liverpool Street - but one of the most interesting examples are the Wood Lane and White City stations in West London.

While they are a three-minute walk from one another, using the Tube to get from one to the other will take you 47 minutes. This is because they are on different lines, which requires commuters to changeover at other stations. There are two options to travel between Wood Lane and White City.

One way is taking the Eastbound Central Line train to Liverpool Street, changing over to the Circle or Hammersmith and City lines to Wood Lane. This journey takes 47 minutes, split between the first trip taking 24 minutes and the remaining making up 23 minutes. There is a quicker to get there on the Tube - although it is still ridiculously long.

Starting off at White City, hop on the Eastbound Central Line to Notting Hill Gate, then switch over to the Circle or District line to Edgware Road. The Circle or Hammersmith and City line to Wood Lane completes the journey - taking it to a total of 31 minutes. But again, why bother with all the hassle when you can simply just walk? It's quicker, .
