Within the rolling hills of the South Downs you can find a village that looks like something out of a Harry Potter scene with great hillside walks and historic cottages. Ditchling, is just an hour from Surrey and boasts Tudor properties and great pubs. The village features a collection of mediaeval houses, it has around 40 listed buildings in total, creating a quaint place to go for a stroll . Wings Place was handed to the former queen in 1541 following her divorce from one of Britain's most notorious kings.
Just outside of the village is a National Trust site perfect for a ramble, called Ditchling Beacon. The spot is believed to be 248 metres above sea-level and is the highest point in East Sussex. Ditchling Beacon is seven miles north of Brighton and offers a 360 view across Sussex out to sea.
