The top 10 most expensive homes sold in Australia in the past year were all located in Sydney, according to Domain and the Australian Financial Review. The 10 houses made nearly a quarter of a billion dollars in real estate. Sydney's luxury eastern suburb Vaucluse was the most popular among the wealthy, followed by Bellevue Hill, also in city's the east.

5 million.  This $33 million home sits on 384 sqm of land in Sydney's Watsons Bay, in the city's east, with unobstructed harbour views and private beach access. The home pulled in a whopping $23.

Hong Kong telco tycoon Canning Fok and his wife, Eliza, first bought the home for $23.5 million in December 2010, according to the AFR. The three-level masterpiece with harbour views was sold for $39 million in October 2023, making the couple a profit of $15.

35 million in September 2023. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home is located on one of the most expensive streets in Bellevue Hill. The home sits on an 88 sqm block.

First bought in November 2014 for $5.64 million, this home pulled in $33.71 million in capital gains when it was sold, according to Domain.

The most expensive home in Sydney was located in the most exclusive, luxurious suburb in the country - the infamous Point Piper. The house at 142 Wolseley Road, dubbed "Notrella," was sold in March for an earth-shattering, eye-watering $51.5 million.

The house sits on an elevated 958 sqm of land, with dual frontages and never-ending views of Sydney Harbour. The home was reportedly sold to the co-founder of e-commerce firm Rokt, Ben Voltz, and his wife Briana, according to the AFR..
