Lebanese Grill, owned by ex-Mayfair chef, Amir, even boasts being a favourite with footballers and actors. Situated on New Kent Road in Elephant and Castle , the area has seen lots of changes and new developments over the last few years.

But Manfred, who is head of operations at the takeaway says Lebanese Grill’s authenticity means people will always keep coming back. “We’ve had branding consultants come in saying ‘make it look like this or that' but it's the authenticity, it's who we are even though Elephant and Castle is changing,” said Manfred. ” The Grill has been open since 2009 and is a huge part of the Elephant and Castle community. There’s nearly always a queue outside and Manfred says that they often get celebrities like football players and actors coming to buy from them. All of the food is made fresh each day, so nothing is ever kept over from the night before.
