There's nothing quite like borrowing an outfit from Mum, and in recent years many of the younger royals have turned to vintage pieces for modern events. While speaking to those gathered at this year's IEC annual meeting, the Princess Royal paid a subtle tribute to her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II. The 74-year-old was seen wearing her mum's purple jacket to the event. The scarf tucked in around Princess Anne's neck also looks similar to the blue printed one Queen Elizabeth wore with the jacket in 2010.



 It's not the first time the Princess Royal has worn this jacket - she was also spotted in it whilst visiting the Nottingham West Primary Care Network and GH Hurt and Son in February this year. Queen Elizabeth II had the scarf over her head as she disembarked from the Hebridean Princess with other members of the Royal Family in Scrabster Harbour, Scotland, on August 2, 2010. It's believed the outfit could live at one of the late monarch's homes such as Balmoral Castle or the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
