Moana 2 isn't the only Disney movie that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be starring in soon. During D23 2024, Johnson revealed that he will be starring in a live-action film about monster trucks. "I love motorsports, I love monster trucks," Johnson told the audience at the Disney Entertainment Showcase.
"I came to [Disney co-chair Alan Bergman] and Disney to create something here that is immersive and fun and live-action. From the POV of these incredible monster trucks. Eccentric and crazy drivers.

Aside from announcing Monster Jam, Johnson was on hand to kick off the Disney Entertainment Showcase with Moana 2, including a new trailer and more.
Johnson will reprise his role as Maui in the film. Once Johnson left the stage, Disney showed off plenty of other projects, including a first announcement for The Incredibles 3 and new looks at Toy Story 5, Andor Season 2, and more.
