The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles The 76 th Emmy Awards will be held on September 15 and even those who aren’t nominated can now experience the glamour and glitz like an A-lister at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles , thanks to the host hotel’s indulgent new Red Carpet-Ready package . The luxury hotel known for treating every guest like an A-lister has upped the ante with this two night package that offers many of the exclusive amenities celebrity guests receive when they come for a stay.

When my BFF and fellow binge watcher heard about this package, she decided it was tailor-made for us and she whisked me off to LA for some mid-week pampering. We booked tickets on Amtrak from San Diego (something an A-lister probably would not do) because we knew dealing with Southern California traffic would negate all the self-care benefits of our trip. Unlike the Emmy nominees, we only packed shorts, tees and a bathing suit for days at the pool and spa, and our favorite Cozy Earth pajamas and slippers for nights eating elevated TV dinners in our suite while catching up on our favorite shows.

The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles is certainly luxurious but it’s also low key and unpretentious and the perfect place for chilling out in style. Plus, the Red Carpet-Ready package contains pretty much everything you need for a VIP stay. Here’s what’s included: MORE FOR YOU ‘Inside Out 2’ Debuts On Digital Streaming This Week Acclaimed Horror Thriller Oddity Debuts On Digital Streaming This Week NYT ‘Strands’ Hints, Spangram And Answers For Sunday, August 18th Executive Suite Accommodations We had a very upscale TV dinner in our Executive Suite at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles.

Lois Alter Mark A VIP favorite, the Executive Suite is like having a luxury apartment high above LA – complete with stunning views. It’s perfect for a girlfriends’ getaway because, in addition to the huge bedroom, it has an even larger living room/dining area with a surprisingly comfortable sofa bed. There are TVs in both rooms, as well as the master bath, so no one has to miss a minute of their favorite Emmy-nominated show.

There’s also a separate dressing area in case you do plan on actually hitting the red carpet. Best of all, there’s an extra half bath for everyone’s comfort and privacy. function loadConnatixScript(document) { if (!window.

Lois Alter Mark Staying in an Executive Suite gives you access to The Club Lounge, which is an amazing perk. Located on the 23 rd floor, with expansive views of LA, it’s one of the best lounges I’ve experienced in any hotel. The food is excellent and plentiful and is served almost all day.

Although they’re simply called “Food & Beverage Presentations,” the schedule includes breakfast, light lunch, light snacks, hors d’oeuvres & cocktails and desserts & cordials, and you could easily have all your meals here. Darius, one of the Club’s dedicated concierges, was so warm and welcoming and even packed us up with boxes of cookies for our train ride home while telling us hilarious stories about his personal experiences in LA. An Eiffel Tower made of macarons on display in the Club Lounge of The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles.

Lois Alter Mark In September, Emmy statues will be on display in the Club Lounge but, because we came during the Olympics, we got to see Executive Pastry Chef Francois Behuet’s eye-popping Eiffel Tower made of macarons, which is stunning. It was challenging to resist taking it apart one macaron at a time and popping them our mouths. Because, apparently, we’re not the only ones who felt that way, there was a plate of fresh macarons nearby.

Chocolate sculpting master class Executive Pastry Chef and Master Chocolatier, Francois Behuet. Lois Alter Mark We were so excited to take a private class with Executive Pastry Chef Francois Behuet, who also happens to be a master chocolatier. He had everything ready for us when we arrived in the kitchen (including our own white chef jackets to keep!) and, although my friend and I are definitely not bakers, we definitely are chocolate lovers and he assured us his goal was to set us up for success.

As he helped us with our creations, he shared tips along with his own personal history, funny anecdotes and a few hints about what he’s thinking for this year’s Emmy Awards amenities and showpieces. By the end of our class, we were asking for jobs as his assistants – something, he said, he hears from almost every guest who takes this class. My personal creation wins the award for most fun to make.

Lois Alter Mark Of all the items included in the Red Carpet-Ready package, the chocolate sculpting class is the only one you can’t purchase on its own. It’s a truly exclusive experience that makes the package so special. The Spa The Sanctuary is one of the coziest spots in The Ritz-Carlton Spa.

Lois Alter Mark Spa treatments are a pre-awards show must and the Red Carpet-Ready package includes three of them: Red Carpet Radiance Facial, Champagne & Shimmer Body Treatment, Signature Manicure & Pedicure. My 80 minute facial was the best I ever had, thanks to my aesthetician, Tej, who gently worked miracles on my needy skin. Two weeks later, it’s still glowing and I’m trying to figure out how to make regular trips to LA to keep it up.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa is an oasis in the city and, really, a destination in itself. It smells so heavenly, you’ll feel your shoulders relax as soon as you walk through the door and there are so many inviting spots to just lie down and relax, you’ll want to spend the day there. Thanks to this package, you can.

Poolside pampering The Red Carpet-Ready Package includes your own private cabana at the hotel's rooftop pool. Lois Alter Mark You never know who you’ll find taking in the sun (and the panoramic views) on the chaise lounges around the hotel’s rooftop pool. Lying by the pool is so LA but having a cabana adds a touch of luxury to this signature experience.

The Red Carpet-Ready package gives you all day access to your own private cabana so you can take a break from the Southern California sun. Stretch out on the couch and watch TV while indulging in your personal mini fridge that’s stocked with cold water and soft drinks, fresh fruit and a bottle of Veuve Yellow Label champagne. The "Cool for the Summer" Wellness Cart is like a spa on wheels.

The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles If you come on a Thursday through Sunday, which unfortunately we didn’t, you’ll also get to experience the spa’s “Cool for the Summer” Wellness Cart, which is brought around the pool area to offer a la cart(e) mini-services like a 30-minute Sun Healer Mini-Facial and products including chilled eye and face masks. This is such a fun idea and it’s worth planning to be there on one of those weekend days if you want to treat yourself. VIP amenities No VIP stay is complete without some swag.

Lois Alter Mark It’s always fun to get a welcome box of surprises and this one is filled with goodies like a miniature award statue and some of the items most requested by VIPs during an award season stay, which include supplements and soothing teas to keep their throats and voices healthy. Our box featured Erewhon Sea Moss Gummies and Sakara Detox Tea, along with bottles of Blake Lively’s Betty Buzz and a variety of snacks. We were so spoiled by our stay and will be watching the Emmy Awards ceremony this year like insiders.

We’ll be checking the nominees to see whose skin is looking especially gorgeous because of their Red Carpet Radiance Facial and who may have just a hint of chocolate on their lips from Chef Francois’ sinful VIP amenities..
