Within the fierce competition for High Street dominance, shops are unveiling innovations, from holographic employees to interactive signage and artificial intelligence helpers. Marks & Spencer has faced backlash with some of its tech features, especially since relocating from Mostyn Street in Llandudno to a former Debenhams in Parc Llandudno retail park. Customers have aired their grievances following Marks & Spencer's transition to its new establishment with its modern cafe which comes equipped with digital self-service kiosks, leaving a number of patrons less than thrilled.

Despite it being over two and a half years since the move, displeasure persists unabated. One particular online forum went ablaze with commentary where over 350 remarks were made, pointing out frustrations with a system that seemingly eliminates any form of human rapport. Patrons expressed annoyance at the disregard for those who struggled with technology, including older individuals and those with disabilities or visual impairments, making M&S an inaccessible shopping destination for them, they claimed.
