Listen to Story The Office actor Jenna Fischer has opened up about her breast cancer battle. Jenna on Tuesday night shared that she had been diagnosed with an "aggressive" breast cancer last December, but is now cancer-free. Jenna mentioned that she was writing about this now to raise some awareness regarding the disease, “October is breast cancer awareness month.

I never thought I’d be making an announcement like this, but here we are. Last December, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple Positive Breast Cancer. After completing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, I am now cancer free.

" Jenna memorably played the receptionist Pam Beesly on the American version of The Office for nearly nine years. She also won a Supporting Actress Emmy for the same. She was last seen in the musical adaptation of the film Mean Girls.
