The city is most famous for its stunning coastline, which stretches for 26 kilometres and features sandy beaches with vibrant beach bars known as "barracas." Praia do Tarquno-Paraiso is the most famous beach here, and it's known for its sandy shores and clear blue waters that's perfect for water sports. For a more relaxing atmosphere, Praia da Fonte da Telha beach is full of natural beauty with breathtaking views of the coastline and nearby cliffs.



Often referred to as the "Riviera of Portugal," Costa da Caparica attracts visitors looking to enjoy the sun and take in the scenic beauty of Portugal's western coast. The city is situated just across the Tagus River from Lisbon, offering tourists easy access to the capital while providing a more relaxed coastal atmosphere.

The nearby Capuchos Convent that's perched on a hill, offers breathtaking views of the Portuguese coastline and is a major cultural and historical site. The city is renowned for its fresh seafood, with many beachside restaurants serving up local dishes like grilled sardines and their world famous caldeirada. There is also various tours and excursions available for holidaymakers, including boat trips, hiking, and cycling tours.

The Almada Forum, one of Portugal's a largest shopping centres is also nearby, and it features a wide range of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. The oldest church in the region is the Church of São Sebastião, showcasing beautiful Manueline architecture. To reach Costa da Caparica, Lisbon Portela Airport is the nearest major airport, located only 25 kilometres away. The city is easily accessible from Lisbon via the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge, which offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and cityscape.
