RANCHO SANTA FE – The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe has completed a four-year, $42 million renovation of the 100-year-old resort with the opening of its Residences & Villas Collection comprised of two single-family homes and three villas. “In this next chapter of the resort, we wanted to build upon what has made The Inn a beloved destination,” said Vikram Sood, managing director of The Inn. “We found that there is demand from the luxury traveler looking for more space,” Sood said.
“With the renovation complete, we really want to position ourselves among the best luxury resorts in California.” The final phase of the renovation was designed by Nina Chiappa Interiors, based in Oakland. “Every single guest room in the hotel has been renovated,” Sood said.
“To compete effectively, it was absolutely necessary.” As part of the renovation, the landscaping around the inn was redone, with new outdoor lighting installed. Before the overall renovation was finished, Sood said the residences and villas that were part of the final phase “were just older and tired.
” “They hadn’t really been touched,” Sood said. Meant to provide an “authentic yet modern European aesthetic,” the renovation of the residences and villas included installing of aged oak chevron floors, tongue-and-groove paneled walls, custom Calcutta marble sinks and rainfall showers. The rooms also come with Jennifer Adams bedding and Mila Moursi bath amenities.
The Residences are two single-family ho.
