The Hardacres will star former Hollyoaks actress Claire Cooper who is married to a fellow actor in real life. Starring alongside Liam MacMahon and Julie Graham is actress Claire Cooper who is behind the mother of the house Mary Hardacre. While she is thrust into the 1800s for the Channel 5 drama, fans will best remember Cooper for portraying Jacqui McQueen in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks for seven years.
The 43-year-old then went on to appear in big hitters like Snatch, The Witcher: Blood Origins, Suspects and Knightfall, just to name a few. Fans of Cooper’s will recognise her famous husband Irish actor Emmett J Scanlan as he was behind the complicated Brendan Brady in Hollyoaks. They met when he joined the cast in 2010 and went on to tie the knot in New York on New Year’s Eve in 2015.
