SPOILER ALERT! This post contains details from Wednesday night’s episode of The Golden Bachelorette . It’s Week 2 of The Golden Bachelorette , and Joan Vassos’ suitors are toasting to 401ks and Medicare in honor of making it past the first night. There are 18 golden men left vying for Joan’s heart, and they’re ready to get their week of dates started.
Jesse Palmer kicks things off quite quickly with the first date card, which goes to Gary, Bob, Jonathan, Charles L., Mark, Jordan, Guy, and Keith. Joan’s date card says she has a question for them, which they’ll find out in the other room.
“Will you go to prom with me?” reads a handwritten sign hanging in the room, filled with suits for the men to pick from, along other goodies for the group date. This isn’t just any prom. They’re taking it back to the 1980s with bright colors, sequins, and ruffles galore.
Once they’re dressed, Joan meets them in the driveway with a white limo. After a quick photo op, they’re off to their senior, senior prom. Joan says she’s hoping that the prom date will bring them back to “how innocent life was” when they each first fell in love and experienced so many firsts in their teens.
That’s the energy she wants to bring to her dating life this time around. By the end of the night, they’ll be crowning a Prom King to stand next to Joan as Prom Queen, and Joan will be giving out a group date rose. First, it’s time for a little fun.
Before long, everyone’s inner chil.
