But at today’s Dior show in Paris, she seemed more interested in resurrecting Dot Cotton than Diana. Dressed in a belted grey herringbone coat with a black and white headscarf tied under her chin, Debicki was almost unrecognisable as she channelled the beloved Albert Square character played by June Brown .
Brown, who passed away in April 2022 at the age of 95, played the no-nonsense, deeply religious and much beloved character of Dot Cotton in EastEnders for more than 35 years. Dot was perhaps best remembered for her troubled family life as she tried to get her son, villain 'Nasty' Nick, on the straight and narrow, but she also had her fashionista moments and was known for wearing headscarves to protect her heat-set curls - a look Debicki inadvertently paid tribute to in Paris.
