My friend and I visited this luxurious spot, nestled within the stunning Taj 51 Buckingham Gate hotel and resort, and were pleasantly surprised by the seasonal twist on this classic English tradition. We were seated at our chosen table for the 4pm slot, positioned next to the Christmas decorations on the window, which beautifully reflected the hotel's enchanting courtyard.

(Image: Poppy Huggett) Our culinary journey into the Secret Garden began when we were handed a box containing the key to the garden – a stunning edible chocolate key nestled beneath a bed of delicious biscuit crumbs. Soon enough, we were presented with our gorgeously displayed afternoon tea in a birdcage – the presentation was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen in a restaurant, truly making me feel as though I had stepped into a magical Christmas garden.
